A checklist for describing charging faults

Collect useful observations without dismantling your device.

Record what you see

State which charger and cable were used, whether a charging indicator appears, and whether the connection feels loose. Mention damage or liquid exposure. Do not force connectors or clean the port with metal tools; describe the symptom and seek an assessment.

A useful observation log

Write down the device model, accessories involved, whether charging is detected, and whether the connection drops during normal use. Note when the behaviour began and any visible damage. Include only checks you have already made safely; you do not need to dismantle the device to submit an enquiry. These details help the assessment compare accessory, connector, and power symptoms before proposing work.

Your checklist

  • Charger and cable
  • Charging indicator
  • Physical damage
