Describe display and touch separately
Write down whether the display shows an image and whether touch works across the screen. Note lines, dark patches, flicker, cracks, and areas that do not respond. Different symptoms may require different work, so avoid selecting a replacement part as a conclusion.
Describe what you see and what responds
If the display is visible but taps are missed, record where the input fails. If the display is dark while the device still rings, include that observation separately. A photo can show visible damage but cannot explain every touch or power symptom. Give the repair team both kinds of information so it can assess the fault without assuming that the visible crack explains all of the behaviour.
Your checklist
- Visible image
- Touch response by area
- Damage and symptom timing
